This is a video taken at my brothers outdoor kitchen, I think for thanksgiving some 14 years ago! My mother, Lou Thibodeaux,
( the lady that waves at the camera ) and my brother, Carl Thibodeaux, ( standing at the counter with a jacket on )
have both pass away since. Larry Thibodeaux, Carl's son, is playing accordian. Larry was about 14 years old at the time. I'm ( David Thibodeaux ) playing guitar.Carl is the one that does the singing. The two girls dancing are Marsha (Beanie) and Jamie,Carl's daughter's.
?The Star Spangled Banner? gets its music from this English/Colonial drinking song.
The song is usually, albeit incorrectly, called "To Anacreon in Heaven" however the correct title is
?The Anacreontic Song? and was one of early America?s favorite numbers.
